Well good stories and characters often involve the protagonists having some sort of conflict, something they're struggling against whether its another character or something in their environment or something within themselves, it makes the story interesting. Considering that it's a given something has to happen.

(I'll be the first to admit I'm not very good at stuff like that but I enjoy doing it so ...)

Cardboard box factory? ... wait did you actually have to go on a field trip to a cardboard box factory? O_o;;
